题目分析：
　than 前后有一个对应关系，than 前面说 at great depths 为了保持对应，than 后面就必须加 in 这个介词，C，D，E 这三个选项我们杀掉。A 和 B 进行比较，A 用 which，根据语义，这个 which 应该指代 waters，可 waters 是复数，which 后面不能用 exposes 了，前后不一致。选 B。
